Tea 101: How to make an iced tea latte

Reading Time: 2 minutes

On hot a summer day, there’s nothing better than an iced tea latte paired with a lounge chair and a good book–and you don’t have to leave home to make it happen. Stick around and we’ll show you exactly how to DIY a refreshing tea latte over ice. Seriously, your life is about to change.

THE BEST TEAS FOR ICED TEA LATTES

Go for teas that are fruity, decadent, sweet or spicy–the choice really is up to you. Just steer clear of hibiscus because it tends to curdle milk. Want some recommendations? We have a few standards we like to use in our iced tea lattes.

Organic Saigon Chai

This spicy blend is on another level of delicious. Try it over ice with sweetened condensed milk for a Vietnamese-style iced tea.

Peach Matcha

A blend of finely ground matcha powder, pure cane sugar and fruity notes of peach, our Peach Matcha makes an incredible green tea latte.

Organic Blueberry Jam

This tea blends blueberries with black tea, elderberries and cornflowers. This fruity pick-me-up really comes alive over ice and milk!

Chocolate Macaroon

With its toasted coconut, cacao nibs, pecans and rock sugar, this rich, nutty blend is just as good as the real thing. Enjoy it as a latte for a sweet and satisfying treat!

Vanilla Cappuccino

Want the sweet and creamy flavour of a French vanilla iced capp without the sugar crash? Try this full-bodied, java-spiked black tea on for size. Time to get your frapp on.

WHAT’S THE BEST MILK TO USE IN A TEA LATTE?

Go skim, go full fat, go soy, go almond, go coconut… go with whatever makes your taste buds happy. Sometimes tea can take on a different flavour, depending on the type of milk you choose. Have fun and experiment!

CHOOSING A SWEETENER FOR YOUR TEA LATTE

You don’t have to add a sweetener but, if you’re into it, you can try honey, cane sugar, agave or even good ol’ maple syrup. Everyone’s sweet tooth is slightly different–don’t be afraid to play.
