With father\u2019s day almost upon us, we wanted to celebrate and shine the light on some of the dads of DAVIDsTEA. So we asked some tea-loving poppas how tea fits into their daily lives and what they\u2019re hoping to receive this Father\u2019s Day. They insisted that they didn\u2019t want anything \u2013 maybe a couple of pairs of socks \u2013 but after a little prying, we managed to get some real answers. Here\u2019s what they had to say:<\/p>\n

How does tea fit into your daily routine?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For my response,\u00a0I lean to a Gary Snyder quote that perfectly describes how tea fits into my routine:<\/p>\n

There are those who love to get dirty and fix things. They drink coffee at dawn, beer after work.<\/em><\/p>\n

And those who stay clean, just appreciate things. At breakfast they have milk and juice at night.<\/em><\/p>\n

There are those who do both, they drink tea.<\/em><\/p>\n

Tea for me fits my life and I change what I drink for when I have it.<\/p>\n

What do you want for Father\u2019s Day?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There are a few things that I\u2019d like, in no real order.<\/p>\n

First, there\u2019s the Lemon ice mold<\/a><\/u>. I like the idea of putting a spin on a drink so simply; I could pre-brew a tea, freeze and then drop these this into a drink.<\/p>\n

Second is the Summer Collection Kit<\/u> <\/u><\/a>\u2013 just so I can test out which teas would make good cocktails. After that, I\u2019ll buy a 100g tin worth \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Otherwise, a DAVIDsTEA Gift Cards<\/a><\/u> would suffice. I generally like to pick what I want. This way, I can go to a store, grab a drink while I\u2019m there, learn about a new tea and add to my collection. The last time I did that I learned about Pu\u2019erh tea and was deeply fascinated with Golden Pu\u2019erh<\/a><\/u>. I bought it just to sit on it for a few months and try it again\u2026 I have maybe a cup a month. It\u2019s my \u201cmoment tea,\u201d for when I have a baby free morning and need some help concentrating on my NYT crossword.<\/p>\n

How does tea fit into your daily routine?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From the time I get to work until late in the evening, I\u2019m always drinking tea. It keeps me going throughout the day, and helps me kick back and relax at night.<\/p>\n

What do you want for Father\u2019s Day?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This year, I\u2019m hoping for the New Matcha Maker<\/a><\/u> and maybe some Grand Cru Matcha<\/a><\/u>. I\u2019ve been dropping subtle hints for a few of weeks and singing \u201cmatcha, matcha, man\u201d whenever they\u2019re around.<\/p>\n

How does tea fit into your daily routine?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tea is a big part of my family’s life. My daughter loves Earl Grey<\/a> <\/u>and Birthday Cake<\/a><\/u>. My son, whatever his big sister is drinking. And my wife, Stacey, loves MANY.<\/p>\n

For me, it depends on the day and my mood.\u00a0Sometimes, a morning cup of Nepal Black<\/a> <\/u>or Pouchong Oolong<\/a><\/u>.\u00a0Other days it\u2019s Pumpkin Chai or Cherry Blossom<\/a><\/u>. In store I need a Main Squeeze<\/a><\/u>\u00a0TeaPoP, and there\u2019s always time for matcha<\/a><\/u> at some point as well.<\/p>\n

What do you want for Father\u2019s Day?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s see\u2026 in my house we have 8 Perfect Mugs, 2 Nordic Mugs, 2 Perfect spoons, a bubble teapot, a Matcha Maker, 1 Carry Travel Mug, 2 Timolinos and about 30 types of loose tea.\u00a0\u00a0Not much else I could ask for.\u00a0\u00a0Maybe if I ask nicely, David will agree to do licensed NFL Nordic Mugs<\/a><\/u>?\u00a0Chicago Bears please.\u00a0That\u2019s right, Sean in IT\u2026 Chicago Bears.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
