Tea-Infused Grapefruit Granita

Ingredients

  • 5 Perfect Spoonfuls of Grapefruit Granita tea
  • 3 cups of hot water
  • ¾ cup of granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Grapefruit zest (optional)

Directions

Step 1
Steep tea for 6 minutes in 3 cups of water, then strain into saucepan.
Step 2
Turn stovetop to medium heat and whisk sugar into the steeped tea until dissolved.
Step 3
Add salt and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into a large, shallow dish and place it in the freezer. After 1 hour, take it out and stir it with a fork.
Step 5
Put the mixture back in the freezer. Remove and stir every 30 minutes, until frozen.
Step 6
Serve garnished with fresh grapefruit zest.
