Pickled Apples (featuring Spiced Apple Tea)
These sweet and tangy Spiced Apple-infused pickled apples are great in salads, as a garnish or (our personal favourite) on top of pulled pork tacos!
Ingredients
- 6 heaping Perfect Spoonfuls of Spiced Apple tea
- 2 cups water
- 3-5 apples (granny smith, gala or mcintosh work well), sliced into thin wedges
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
- 3 tbsp fresh ginger, chopped
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups white vinegar
- fresh mint sprigs
- 3 canning jars, 16oz
Directions

| Steep tea for 7 minutes then strain into saucepan. | |

| Add sugar and vinegar and bring to a low boil. | |

| In the meantime, prepare the fruit and ginger. Divide the fruit equally into the canning jars and add 1 tbs ginger and a sprig of mint to each. | |

| Pour in hot pickling liquid and seal lids. | |
| Step 5 | |
| Let cool to room temperature and then store in the fridge for 2-7 days before serving. | |
