Midsummer Night’s Granita
On those sultry summer nights, nothing refreshes quite like this romantic blend of mint, gooseberries and citrus. An effortless, oh-so refreshing dessert for the height of summer, this sweet, fruity ice is the perfect no-cook treat.
Ingredients
- 7 Perfect Spoonfuls of Midsummer Night's Dream tea
- 3 cups of hot water
- 3/4 cup of granulated sugar
- A pinch of salt
- Mint (optional)
Directions
Step 1 | |
Steep tea for 6 minutes in 3 cups of water and strain into saucepan. | |

Turn stovetop to medium heat and whisk sugar into the steeped tea until dissolved. | |

Add salt and let simmer for 3-5 minutes. | |
Step 4 | |
Pour mixture into a large, shallow dish and place in the freezer. After 1 hour, take mixture out of the freezer and stir with a fork. | |
Step 5 | |
Put mixture back in the freezer. Remove and stir every 30 minutes, until frozen. | |
Step 6 | |
Serve garnished with mint. |
