Double Banana Nut Bread
When your favourite tea meets your favourite dessert, it’s double the fun, double the flavour… double everything! So get your baking tray ready for this mouth-watering Banana Nut Bread infused banana nut bread.
Ingredients
- 4 Perfect Spoonfuls of Banana Nut Bread tea
- ½ cup of hot water
- 2 ripe bananas (well browned)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup melted butter (unsalted)
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions
Step 1 | |
Preheat oven to 325ºF. | |
Step 2 | |
Pour ½ cup boiling water over tea and set aside for at least 5 minutes. Then strain and discard tea leaves. | |
Step 3 | |
In large bowl, mash bananas, sugar, egg and butter until well blended, then pour in steeped tea. | |
Step 4 | |
Add flour, baking soda & salt, and stir until the batter just comes together, then fold in chocolate chips and nuts. | |
Step 5 | |
Pour into a buttered 9x5 loaf pan and bake for 1 hour - 1 hour 15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. |
