Matcha Latte – In the Matcha Maker
Nothing gets the morning moving like a tea latte. But sometimes, you need a little extra boost to kickstart the day. Fortunately, there’s a vibrant green tea latte that’s both delicious and energizing. Best of all, it’s super easy to make. Here’s how to whisk up a Matcha Latte at home.
Ingredients
- 2 Perfect Matcha Spoonfuls of matcha green tea
- The Matcha Maker
- 250 ml (8 oz) milk of your choice
- 125 ml (4 oz) of warm water (175°F/75°C)
- 1 tsp agave (optional)
Directions
With the Matcha Maker | |
Step 1 | |
Add 8 oz of milk , soy or almond milk to your milk frother and froth a medium heat. If you don’t have a milk frother, shake milk in a sealed mason jar for 15 seconds, remove lid and place in microwave for 30 seconds. | |
Step 2 | |
Add 2 level Matcha Spoonfuls of tea to your Matcha Maker | |
Step 3 | |
Pour 4oz/120ml of 175°F / 75°C water into the Matcha Maker. | |
Step 4 | |
Shake the Matcha Maker vigorously for 20 seconds, until the matcha is thoroughly mixed and topped with foam. | |
Step 5 | |
Press the safety button on the lid to release any pressure that may have built up during shaking. | |
Step 6 | |
If you like your lattes sweet, remove the lid and add 1 or 2 tsp of agave to the Matcha Maker then give it a quick swirl. | |
Step 7 | |
Dispense all of the Matcha from your Matcha Maker directly into a 16 oz mug. | |
Step 8 | |
Grab your frothed milk and pour it directly into the cup. Pro Tip: Use a large spoon to hold back the foam and allow the liquid to pour in first. As the liquid runs out, release the spoon to let the foam fill the balance of the cup |
