Tea-Infused Grapefruit Granita

And it all starts with this simple recipe. Our twist on the Italian classic lets you fancy up a snow cone with the light and tangy taste of our Grapefruit Granita tea. And don’t tell anyone, but delicious granitas are one of the easiest treats you can make. Whether you serve it as a frosty cocktail or a light-as-air citrus dessert, this tea-infused granita is the next best thing to being sprayed by the salty ocean breeze at a Sicilian beach!

Tea-Infused Grapefruit Granita

Ingredients

  • 5 Perfect Spoonfuls of Grapefruit Granita tea
  • 3 cups of hot water
  • ¾ cup of granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Grapefruit zest (optional)

Directions

Step 1
Steep tea for 6 minutes in 3 cups of water, then strain into saucepan.
Step 2
Turn stovetop to medium heat and whisk sugar into the steeped tea until dissolved.
Step 3
Add salt and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into a large, shallow dish and place it in the freezer. After 1 hour, take it out and stir it with a fork.
Step 5
Put the mixture back in the freezer. Remove and stir every 30 minutes, until frozen.
Step 6
Serve garnished with fresh grapefruit zest.
