Colour your icing naturally with tea

We never run out of creative ways to infuse tea into everyday recipes. But this time, we’re taking things to a whole new level. Now you can drink your tea and eat it too thanks to our deliciously colourful tea-infused icing recipe.

Whether you’re throwing a cookie decorating party or a baking weekend with your besties, dress up your sweet treats with a natural dye-free tea frosting in three festive shades: green, pink and yellow.  It’s quick, easy and only uses 3 ingredients! Best of all, the pink icing is made with our caffeine-free infusion (Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait) so the kids can get in on the fun.

The only thing left to do? Break out those holiday sprinkles and get decorating!

Green Icing with Matcha Matsu

Green Icing with Matcha Matsu

Ingredients

  • ¼ tsp Matcha Matsu tea
  • 1 tbsp + 2 tsp icing sugar
  • ½ tsp water

Directions

Step 1
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.

Pink Icing with Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait

Pink Icing with Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait

Ingredients

  • 2 Perfect Spoonfuls Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait tea
  • 1 cup near-boiling water
  • 1 tbsp + 2½ tsp icing sugar

Directions

Step 1
Steep tea in near-boiling water 4 minutes, then strain into a measuring cup and discard tea leaves.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine icing sugar with ½ tsp of steeped tea and mix well.
Step 3
Beautify your treats with this blush-worthy icing.

Yellow Icing with Mango Madness

Ingredients

  • 3 Perfect Spoonfuls Mango Madness tea
  • 1 cup near-boiling water
  • 1 tbsp + 2½ tsp icing sugar

Directions

Step 1
Steep tea in near-boiling water 4 minutes, then strain into a measuring cup and discard tea leaves.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine icing sugar with ½ tsp of steeped tea and mix well.
Step 3
Frost up your favourite indulgence and top with sprinkles!
