April is the perfect month to kick-start your summer. And what better way to do that than with our vibrant and benefit-packed Deep Blue Spirulina tea? This white tea is bursting with mineral-rich spirulina powder for a blend that’s both hydrating and revitalizing (especially on ice). So when the heady days of summer – al fresco dinners, poolside hangs – finally arrive you’ll be refreshed and ready.

Just because this ice tea blend is uber healthy, it doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. Create the ultimate heat wave treat by mixing Deep Blue Spirulina and Magic Potion tea for ice pops and ice cubes that are both beautiful and mouth-watering. Scroll down to get the recipe.

What is spirulina?

Spirulina is a fresh-water algae that’s super-charged with vitamins and minerals. It’s commonly found in smoothies and protein bars, but now you can also get your fix in tea. (You’re welcome.) The powder’s deep green colour comes from chlorophyll – a pigment that allows plants to absorb energy from light – and it’s packed with nutrients. We feel better already, don’t you?

Why is this tea so good for you?

It’s not just about the spirulina. This tea also has moringa – a protein-rich super plant that’s seriously nourishing. And to top it all off, we sprinkled in some butterfly pea flower to give you an emerald-coloured tea that’s extra fresh and totally poppin’. We all know hydration is the key to staying healthy; and this iced tea is just straight up good for you – especially with its tropical splash of pineapple and mango.

Best time to drink it?

This tea’s hyper hydrating powers make it the perfect post-workout drink. Do your body some good and quench your thirst after a long run. Or tote it along to your next hot yoga session.

What’s your go-to summer treat? Are you all about the local ice cream parlour and nostalgic freeze pops or do you keep a quenching rosé (or lemonade) on hand at all times? Personally, we’re fans of a nice, cold iced tea. But we’re biased.
