The sky is blue, waves are crashing on the shoreline and there’s a cool breeze blowing through your hair. A taste of the tropics is just a sip away with this spicy summer cocktail. Featuring our June tea of the month, Grilled Pineapple.

Ingredients

  • 2 Perfect Teaspoons of Grilled Pineapple tea
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tablespoons agave
  • 1oz orange liqueur (Grand Marnier or Triple Sec)
  • 4oz pineapple juice
  • 2oz silver tequila
  • 2oz scotch whisky
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • ice

Directions

Step 1
Steep tea and chili powder in 2 cups of hot water for 5 minutes, then strain.
Step 2
While hot, stir in agave and orange liqueur.
Step 3
Fill a 1 liter (1 quart) container with ice. Pour tea mixture over ice.
Step 4
Fill four 16oz glasses with ice. To each, add 1 oz pineapple juice, ½ oz silver tequila, and ½ oz scotch whisky.
Step 5
Top with iced pineapple tea mixture and stir.
