Happy Hour Tea Cocktails: Peach Mai Tai 3 Ways

We’ve been in full spring mode, dreaming up new cocktails for the outdoor season. One fruity flavour just seemed too good to limit to only one cocktail – so here we compiled three peachy recipes featuring our Peach Mai Tai tea. This refreshing loose leaf is bursting with juicy peach, pineapple, black tea and ginger, for a crisp yet tropical twist. Mix one batch of tea concentrate and try all three cocktails.

“Maitai” is the Tahitian word for “good,” catch our drift?

Tea concentrate (½ L)

Ingredients

  • 8 Perfect Spoonfuls of DAVIDsTEA Peach Mai Tai tea
  • 2 cups hot (80°C) water

Directions

Step 1
Steep tea in hot water for 5 min, then strain into a measuring cup and discard tea leaves.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tea concentrate
  • 2 oz prosecco
  • fresh peach slices

Directions

Step 1
Add tea concentrate to a cocktail glass or champagne flute and top with prosecco.
Step 2
Garnish with fresh peach slices.

Peach Mai Tai

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tea concentrate
  • 1 oz rum
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • mint sprig

Directions

Step 1
Fill a short glass with ice, then add tea concentrate, rum and pineapple juice.
Step 2
Stir lightly and garnish with a mint sprig and a cocktail umbrella.

Peach Maitini

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tea concentrate
  • 1 oz gin
  • ½ oz orange liqueur
  • 1 tsp lemon
  • lemon twist

Directions

Step 1
Shake tea concentrate, gin, orange liqueur, lemon juice and ice in a cocktail shaker until the outside looks frosty.
Step 2
Pour into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
