Mulled Tonic

When you combine your favourite fruity tea with warm mulling spices, you get a mulled tonic with the perfect balance of tangy fruit and winter comfort. Oh, and a splash of rum doesn’t hurt either.

Mulled Tonic

When you combine your favourite fruity tea with warm mulling spices, you get a mulled wine with the perfect balance of tangy fruit and winter comfort.

Ingredients

  • 7.5 teaspoons Redberry Tonic ((or your favourite fruity tea))
  • 2.5 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 Large cinnamon stick (cut in half)
  • 3 cloves
  • 2oz rum
  • orange slices

Directions

Step 1
In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of water, cinnamon, cloves, and sugar. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Step 2
Add Redberry Tonic to a DAVIDsTEA filter and place the filter in the saucepan. Steep for 6 minutes, then remove filter.
Step 3
Ladle tea into cups, making sure to include a cinnamon piece in every cup. Add 1 oz of rum and a couple of orange slices to each cup.
