Ahh, summertime and the living is easy! What better way to savour the warmer months than with flavourful tea cocktails and a dash of originality?
We partnered with The Glenlivet to celebrate the Canadian launch of their Caribbean Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Discover this summer’s “it-drinks” with two delicious tea cocktails crafted with The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve & Founder’s Reserve. The variety and complexity of flavours in our teas match the quality and depth of The Glenlivet, and the resulting cocktails are a balanced medley of all the ingredients.
Selectively finished in oak barrels that previously held Caribbean Rum, the smooth Caribbean Reserve has sweet notes of ripe fruit and rich caramel toffee. Talk about layered flavours! Refined palates and casual sippers alike will enjoy the tropical twist and smooth finish. For a more traditional essence, the Founder’s Reserve is finished in American Oak casks that impart smooth and creamy vanilla notes.
Paired with our Mango Fruit Punch and Coco Colada teas, the flavours of The Glenlivet whisky are complemented and heightened in these tea cocktails. The Mango Punch cocktail is ultra-refreshing and will take your tastebuds on a tropical adventure, while the Sunset Colada cocktail is a fun and colourful take on the classic piña colada. These spiked iced teas are so easy to make – let’s get pouring!
RECIPES: DAVIDsTEA x The Glenlivet
a fresh & tropical cocktail
Mango Punch Tea Cocktail
- 3oz Mango Fruit Punch concentrate (2 Perfect Spoons of Mango Fruit Punch and ½ cup of water)
- 1.5oz The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve
- ½ teaspoon Fresh lemon juice
- 2 dashes Orange bitter
- dash Freshly grated ginger
|To create the tea concentrate: In a Steeper, steep 2 Perfect Spoons of Mango Fruit Punch and ½ cup of hot water (95 °C | 200 °F) for 10 min.|
|Dispense into a measuring cup and let cool to room temperature.|
|In an old fashioned glass filled with ice, add The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve, Mango Fruit Punch concentrate, lemon juice and freshly grated ginger. Stir with a mixing spoon.|
|Add 2 dashes of orange bitters and garnish with a slice of lemon.|

a fun take on the classic Colada
Sunset Colada Tea Cocktail
- 3oz Coco Colada concentrate (2 Perfect Spoons of Coco Colada and ½ cup of water)
- ½oz The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve
- ½oz Pineapple juice
- ½ teaspoon Sugar
- 2 dashes Cherry bitters
- Amarena cherries (garnish)
- Pineapple leaf (optional)
|To create the tea concentrate: In a Steeper, steep 2 Perfect Spoons of Coco Colada in ½ cup of hot water (95 °C | 200 °F) for 10 min.|
|Strain into a measuring cup, add and dissolve the sugar and let cool to room temperature.|
|Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add the Coco Colada concentrate, the Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve and the pineapple juice.|
|Shake vigorously for 20 sec.|
|Strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice, add 2 dashes of cherry bitters, garnish with preserved cherries and pineapple leaf.|
