Reading Time: 3 minutes

What do you do when you feel a cold coming on? Simple. Reach for the kettle and make yourself a cup of tea! Here are our top teas to soothe a cold.

1. Feel Super Duper

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s… SUPER GINGER! The idea for this tea came at about 2 in the morning one chilly night. David had a cold. He’d been drinking cup after cup of ginger tea, but there was a problem. His ginger tea had a ton of caffeine. His throat felt great, but he couldn’t get any sleep. Something had to be done. So he decided to create an herbal ginger tea – the spiciest, most comforting tisane he could imagine, with lots of ginger, peppercorns and green rooibos. And, most importantly, zero caffeine. The result? A cold remedy so soothing…you might even say it has superpowers.

2. Out from the Cold

Cold got you down? Brew a cup of Cold 911. A tried and tested cold fighter, this magical elixir is the go-to for fans and tea guides alike. This life-saving herbal blend features a mix peppermint, juniper berries, orange peel and eucalyptus. And unlike other cold remedies, it’s both effective and delicious. Pro Tip: For maximum effectiveness, be sure to inhale the vapours before each sip!

3. Zing for Joy

You need cold relief, but you also want to get on with your day. The solution? Cold Zing. This super-comforting blend is packed tons of feel-good ingredients. It’s got tangy citrus and lemongrass, calming peppermint and a powerful blast of echinacea and eleuthero root –ginseng’s distant cousin. Most importantly, there’s a much-needed caffeine kick from a healthy dose of green tea. Comfort is just a cup away.

4. Detox

We all know that when you’re sick, it’s important to drink lots of fluids. But for us, some drinks are just better than others, like our Organic Detox, a tasty blend of traditional ingredients, like rooibos, sencha, ginger, ginkgo, lemongrass, and juniper berries. Trust us, even buying it will make you feel like a new person.

5. Encore, encore!

Rumour has it that when Pavarotti needed to ease a sore throat, he called for tea. Some say it was hot. Others swear it was cold. We think he probably drank it both ways. And that he would have loved this tisane. It’s packed with licorice, chamomile, rosehip, orange peel and peppermint, as well as delicious goji berries. Feel a sore throat coming on? Try a cup of Bravissimo!
